Rohm and Haas has opened operations at its new manufacturing plant in Sanshui, Guangdong Province, China. To date, the company has invested approximately $10 million in this site, which will manufacture products based on acrylic emulsion technology. The new facility has more than 20,000 metric tons of capacity and can be expanded to meet future needs in this rapidly growing market. Products made at this facility include environmentally friendly water-based binders and emulsions used to make consumer paint and coatings.
